Amy Adler received her BFA at Cooper Union in 1989 and her MFA from UCLA in 1995. She has had one person shows at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and in galleries in Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin, Tokyo and Milan. Her project, Amy Adler Photographs Leonardo DiCaprio, was shown at the Photographers Gallery in London in 2001 and then at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles in 2002. She has participated in such international museum group exhibitions as The Kwanju Biennial in Korea, Form Follows Fiction at the Castello Di Rivoli in Turin, and The Americans at the Barbican in London. In the spring of 2005 Twin Palms Press released a monograph of her work entitled "Amy Adler Young Photographer." After teaching at UC Irvine, Art Center and CalArts, Adler joined the faculty of UC San Diego in the fall of 2004. |
