Helen Mirra's studio practice encompasses a variety of media, including film, video, sound, text and sculpture. Her work has been widely exhibited internationally, including one-person exhibitions at The Renaissance Society, Chicago, and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Since completing her MFA at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1996, Mirra has received the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation and the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation artist awards. A former Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago, Mira currently teaches art at Harvard University.
