Amy Sillman is the Milton Avery Professor in the Arts at Bard College, and has also taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and at Bennington College. Recent solo exhibitions of her work were mounted at Galleria Marabini, Bologna, Italy, and at Brent Sikkema Gallery and Casey Kaplan, both in New York. She has participated in numerous group shows in the United States and abroad, including at the Brooklyn Museum of Art; the New Museum of Contemporary Art; the Carnegie Mellon Art Center, Pittsburgh; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; the Santa Monica Museum; and the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center. Sillman is the recipient of the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award (1999—2000); a Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship (1999—2000); a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Fellowship (1999); and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship (1995). |
