Christopher Wool Best known for his paintings of large, black, stenciled letters on white ground, Christopher Wool’s work extends beyond such text based imagery and stenciling techniques. Involving many diverse styles and processes including silk-screen, hand painting, and spray paint. Wool’s work often deals as much with the shallow vulnerability of the gestural trace as it does the materiality of language. Wools work has been extensively shown internationally and most recently has been mounted in solo exhibitions at Camden Arts Centre, London, UK; Galerie Micheline Szwajcer, Antwerp, Belgium; Luhring Augustine, New York, NY; and Taka Ishii, Tokyo, Japan.
